NeptuneAI is a solo-founder studio building native mobile tools that do one job well — starting with Photo Resizer & PDF Compressor, a Kotlin + Jetpack Compose app for Android, with iOS in the works.
Most utility apps try to do everything and end up doing nothing particularly well. NeptuneAI takes the opposite bet: pick one real, everyday problem, build a native app that solves it properly, and keep shipping fixes and polish long after launch.
That means real device testing, not just an emulator; engines built on libraries chosen for correctness over convenience; and a build log that tracks every decision — including the ones that got reverted.
Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, not a cross-platform shim — direct access to the APIs that actually matter for CPU-heavy work like compression.
Every feature verified end-to-end on physical phones and tablets, not just assumed to work from the emulator.
Ad-supported, clearly labeled, gated behind a consent flow — no dark patterns, no forced subscriptions for basic function.
A native Android app that edits, shrinks and converts images and PDFs without wrecking quality — built for the everyday moment when a photo needs fixing or a file is just too big to send.
Edit photos on the device — remove or blur the background, erase people and objects with an on-device AI eraser, adjust light and color, and apply filters. Compress single files inline or queue a whole batch in the background — image resizing (batch to an exact size), cropping, converting HEIC, PNG and WebP photos to JPG, and target-file-size search for both photos and PDFs, two PDF compression modes (recompress embedded images, or rasterize aggressively), merge with reorderable pages, split, image↔PDF conversion, document scanning to PDF with the camera, and signing PDFs. Send files in from any app with Share or Open with, and share results straight back out. The interface is available in 75 languages.
Native Kotlin builds, Material 3 design, tested across phone, tablet, ChromeOS, and Android XR form factors. Photo Resizer & PDF Compressor is the first release.
A native iOS build of the same idea is on the roadmap — no shim, no wrapper, same standard of on-device testing before it ships.
NeptuneAI started as one developer's answer to a small, annoying problem — files that are always slightly too big. Every screen, every edge case, every crash fix in Photo Resizer & PDF Compressor has been built and tested by hand, on real devices, before it ships.
